Brady Quinn presumably will follow Anderson, but neither are expected to play much into the second half.
Matthew Stafford, the first overall pick in the draft out of Georgia, will start at quarterback for the Lions.
Inactives for the Browns include nose tackle Shaun Rogers, running back Jerome Harrison, receiver David Patten, linebackers David Bowens and Titus Brown, defensive lineman Melila Purcell and offensive lineman Rex Hadnot.
Inactives for the Lions include receivers Calvin Johnson, Bryant Johnson, Keary Colbert, Kenneth Harris and Dennis Northcutt, the ex-Brown, and tight ends Brandon Pettigrew and Casey FitzSimmons. Former Brown Shaun Smith will start at defensive tackle for Chuck Darby.
