Another strange Mangini move
Yahoo Sports' Michael Silver reported that Browns coach Eric Mangini fined a player $1,701 after the player failed to pay $3 for a bottle of water at the team's road hotel.
The offending player was strong safety Abram Elam, who arrived in a draft day trade with the New York Jets and spent the past two seasons playing under Mangini.
The strange amount of the fine was the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement, according to Silver.
