ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter is reporting that the Browns have traded wide receiver Braylon Edwards to the New York Jets.
This season, Edwards has 10 receptions for 139 yards and no touchdowns.
The Browns drafted Edwards third overall in the 2005 NFL Draft. In 62 games with the Browns, Edwards had 238 receptions for 3,697 yards and 28 touchdowns.
Edwards has come under fire this week after allegedly punching a friend of Cavaliers star LeBron James early Monday morning at a Cleveland nightclub. The incident is still being investigated by the Cleveland police department. The NFL is also monitoring the alleged incident.
