The Browns announced five additions to their player personnel department this afternoon, naming Frank Edgerly their new senior pro scout and Brent Blaylock, Brendan Donovan, Matthew Manocherian and Patrick Moore their new college scouts.
With CEO Joe Banner and General Manager Mike Lombardi in charge, the new regime shook up its player personnel department shortly after the NFL Draft in late April.
The Browns fired former director of college scouting John Spytek and pro scouts A.J. Durso and Tom Headlee. They also Browns parted ways with senior national scout Pat Roberts, whose contract had expired, and college area scouts Donovan Beidelschies and David Hinson. Another college area scout, Bob Welton, left the Browns before the draft to become the University of Tennessee football program’s director of player personnel.
