Browns add linebacker, drop running back
The Browns announced today the signing of linebacker Bo Ruud. He was cut earlier in the week by New England. The Patriots selected Ruud 197th overall in the 2008 NFL Draft, but he spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Ruud started 33 games in college at Nebraska. There, he totaled 216 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss and 4.5 sacks.
Running back Allen Patrick was released by the team. He spent most of last season on the Cleveland's practice squad.
