The Browns were awarded linebacker Ryan Rau off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles, the team announced today.

Last year, Rau spent 13 weeks on the Eagles’ practice squad and appeared in four regular-season games. Rau, 22, compiled three special-teams tackles.

The 6-foot-1, 230-pound Rau was a four-year letterman at Portland State from 2008-11. He signed with the Eagles last year as an undrafted free agent.
