The Browns have claimed undrafted rookie tight ends MarQueis Gray and Keavon Milton off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints, respectively.
CSNBayArea.com reported the addition of Gray, who also announced the news via Twitter. Two league sources confirmed the Browns also added Milton.
The Browns have also cut veteran tight end Kellen Davis, a league source confirmed for the Beacon Journal today.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Gray played quarterback and wide receiver for the University of Minnesota, but he has been trying to make it as a tight end in the NFL. Gray caught one pass for 13 yards in the preseason and was waived Saturday.
“Well it's been fun SF and thanks for all the love & support!” Gray wrote on Twitter. “Just got the word and now Off to Cleveland to start over!! Here we go #Browns.”
The 6-4, 293-pound Milton played tight end for the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He tallied one catch for 10 yards in the preseason and was waived Saturday.
