Browns coach Pat Shurmur: 'There's a good chance' OL Jason Pinkston will start Sunday
Browns coach Pat Shurmur met with reporters this afternoon following practice. Here are some highlights from his chat with reporters:
- "There's a good chance" rookie offensive lineman Jason Pinkston will start at left guard Sunday in the Browns' regular-season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. Pinkston, a fifth-round draft pick, has been practicing at left guard all week.
- Offensive lineman Tony Pashos said it will be a game-time decision whether he plays Sunday. Pashos, the projected starter at right tackle, returned to practice Thursday after sitting out earlier in the week with a sore left foot. "Tony practiced today, so we'll see [if he's ready to play Sunday]," Shurmur said. "It's hard to say right now, but we're hopeful that he'll be there."
