Browns cut four players, place defensive lineman Titus Adams on IR
The Browns waived defensive back John Bowie, wide receiver Taurus Johnson, defensive back Gerard Lawson and offensive lineman John Malecki on Tuesday, the team announced.
They also placed defensive lineman Titus Adams on injured reserve. Adams suffered a shoulder injury in the Browns' first preseason game of the year against the Green Bay Packers. Adams had not practiced since.
NFL teams were required to trim their 80-man rosters to 75 players Tuesday. The next round of cuts will take place Saturday, when teams are required to trim their rosters to 53 players.
