Browns defensive tackle Phil Taylor tears pectoral muscle, needs surgery

By Nate Ulrich Published: May 11, 2012

Browns coach Pat Shurmur said this morning defensive tackle Phil Taylor suffered a torn left pectoral muscle lifting weights Thursday.

Taylor will have surgery in the middle of next week, Shurmur said.

Shurmur added that Taylor's injury could prevent him from playing this year, but that it is too early to know right now.

Here is a story from last night on about Taylor's injury.
