Browns draft Larry Asante with 160th pick

The Browns selected Nebraska safety Larry Asante with the 160th selection of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Asante, 6-foot and 212-pounds, earned first-team All-Big 12 accolades as a senior.

Asante played linebacker at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas for one season and was a standout running back and linebacker in high school in Alexandria, Va.

Larry Asante comments:

"First and foremost I just want to thank the Browns organization for drafting me."

"I feel like I need to improve upon on my coverage skills. I will have great coaches in Cleveland who will help me improve upon on my weaknesses and make them into strengths."
