The Browns signed quarterback Colt McCoy, pictured above, and offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao to multiyear contracts Friday, the team announced.

McCoy, who set an NCAA record with 45 career wins as a starting quarterback for the University of Texas, was the Browns' first third-round choice (85th overall) of this year's draft. The Browns chose him with a pick acquired from the Oakland Raiders in exchange for Kamerion Wimbley. ESPN.com reported Thursday that McCoy agreed to a four-year deal worth as much as $5 million.

Lauvao, who played guard and tackle at Arizona State University, was the team’s second third-round choice (92nd overall). The Browns took him with a pick acquired from the New York Jets as part of a trade involving wide receiver Braylon Edwards. Lauvao's agent, Mark Humenik, told the Beacon Journal via e-mail on Thursday that his client agreed to a four-year deal that includes a signing bonus of $697,000.
