Free-agent outside linebacker Victor Butler left his visit with the Philadelphia Eagles today without a contract, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
The Browns are still interested in signing Butler, who tallied 11 sacks while spending the past four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. Butler arrived in Northeast Ohio Sunday night and left Monday without a contract after visiting the Browns.
The 6-foot-2, 245-pound Butler also has reportedly visited the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers
Butler, 25, played outside linebacker last season in the 3-4 system used by former Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. He compiled 25 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles, starting one of the 16 games in which he appeared.
