The Browns have inquired about interviewing Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase for their head-coaching vacancy, a league source confirmed today.

The Browns shocked the masses Sunday night by firing coach Rob Chudzinski after just one season on the job. The team finished with a record of 4-12 and a seven-game losing streak to end the season.

The Detroit Lions fired coach Jim Schwartz today, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. He is also expected to receive interest from the Browns because of his long-standing relationship with General Manager Mike Lombardi.

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, a Canton McKinley High School graduate, and Penn State coach Bill O’Brien, a former Patriots offensive coordinator, are expected to top the Browns’ list of candidates to replace Chudzinski, according to several reports.
