Browns make roster move on the eve of their game against the New York Jets

By Nate Ulrich Published: November 13, 2010

On Saturday, the Browns signed defensive lineman Brian Sanford to the active roster from the practice squad and waived offensive lineman Paul McQuistan, the team announced.

Originally signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent this past May after attending the team’s rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, the 6-foot-2, 280-pound Sanford, 23, has spent this season on Cleveland’s practice squad. He appeared in 43 games at Temple University (2006-09), for which he compiled 86 tackles, eight sacks, three forced fumbles and a blocked field goal.
