The Browns have reached an agreement on a deal with cornerback Dimitri Patterson, NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reported today.

Last season, Patterson, an unrestricted free agent, started nine of the 16 games in which he played for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 5-foot-10, 200-pound Patterson, 28,  had 52 tackles, a sack, 11 passes defensed and four interceptions in 2010. He returned one interception for a 40-yard touchdown.

The Browns have been in the market for a cornerback since Eric Wright signed with the Detroit Lions.
