Browns reportedly sign running back Brandon Jackson
The Browns have reached an agreement with former Green Bay Packers running back Brandon Jackson on a two-year deal worth $4.5 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported tonight.
Jackson, 25, was selected by the Packers in the second round (63rd overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. He served primarily as a backup during his first three seasons.
But that changed last year when starter Ryan Grant suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 1. Jackson ended up starting 13 of the 16 games in which he appeared, rushing 190 times for 703 yards and three touchdowns and catching 43 passes for 342 yards and a touchdown. He fumbled only once all season and has never lost a fumble in his career.
