The party continued for Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel as he reportedly returned to Las Vegas this past week. Then speculation and controversy ensued.
The 22nd overall pick in May’s NFL Draft, Manziel sparked debate from coast to coast six weeks ago by vacationing in Vegas just before Memorial Day. He posed for poolside photographs with New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and bikini-clad women. He was caught on video spraying champagne into a crowd of dancers at a nightclub.
His partying has been documented every week since.
Manziel, 21, partied at XS nightclub at Encore during Fourth of July weekend, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Sunday night. According to a story published this morning on TMZ.com, Manziel tended bar at an Austin, Texas, nightclub before making his most recent trip to Vegas.
And a photo published Sunday night by BustedCoverage.com that appears to show Manziel rolling money in a bathroom has created a stir on social media.
This morning, a Browns spokesman said the team has no comment on the photo. Manziel’s agent, Erik Burkhardt, has yet to reply to emails the Beacon Journal sent him Sunday night and this afternoon.
Photos of Manziel hanging out with Playboy Miss Social model Dallas Nicole also surfaced.
Manziel, whose competition against veteran Brian Hoyer for the Browns’ starting quarterback job will heat up once the first full-squad practice of training camp begins July 26, apparently traveled from Vegas to Beaverton, Ore. That’s where he coached high school quarterbacks Sunday during the Elite 11 football camp.
