The Browns have signed defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin to a three-year contract extension, a league source confirmed. Adam Caplan of Sirius/XM Radio reported the news earlier today. Browns President Mike Holmgren told the Beacon Journal last week that the team was working on extending Rubin's contract.
Rubin, 25, led all NFL defensive linemen with 82 tackles last season. He was entering the final season of his rookie contract and scheduled to make a base salary of $600,000 in 2011.
