The Browns have signed former St. Louis Rams linebacker Justin Cole, his agent, Ken Sarnoff, announced today via Twitter.
The Browns have yet to announce the move.
The 6-foot-3, 242-pound Cole spent the past two seasons with the Rams, compiling nine tackles as a backup. He appeared in all 16 games this past season and four in 2011.
Cole, 25, entered the NFL in 2010 when he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent from San Jose State. He was inactive for 11 games that year and spent the final five weeks of the season on the Chiefs’ practice squad.
