The Browns have signed rookie offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz to a four-year deal worth $5.17 million, a league source told the Beacon Journal tonight.

The Browns drafted Schwartz in the second round (No. 37 overall) out of California. The 6-foot-5, 318-pound Schwartz started all 51 games during his four collegiate seasons.

The Browns will rely on him to become their starting right tackle. He worked in that spot today during the first two practices of rookie minicamp.
