Browns sign tight end Joel Gamble
The Browns signed tight end Joel Gamble, the team announced Monday.
Gamble spent the final four weeks of this past season on the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad. He also spent time in 2009 with the DC Armor of the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA). His resume also includes stints with the Tennessee Valley Vipers (2007), Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (2007) and Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings (2008) of arenafootball2 (af2).
A four-year letterman at Shippensburg University (2001-04), Gamble appeared in 43 games, recording 46 receptions for 631 yards and five touchdowns. Born on Dec. 25, 1982, the 6-foot-2, 260-pound Gamble is a native of Baltimore, Md., where he attended Carver High School.
