Browns standouts Joe Thomas, Josh Cribbs among NFL Network's top 100 players
Offensive tackle Joe Thomas and return man/wide receiver Josh Cribbs have been named to NFL Network’s list of the top 100 active players.
Thomas and Cribbs were the only members of the Browns to make the list. Current NFL players voted to determine who made the cut.
Thomas' standing as the 43rd-ranked player was revealed tonight on NFL Network's "The Top 100: Players of 2011." Cribbs' place at No. 84 was unveiled last month.
Thomas, who has earned a Pro Bowl selection in each of his four NFL seasons, is one of 13 offensive linemen who cracked the top 100. Cribbs, who was named to the Pro Bowl in 2007 and 2009, is one of 18 wide receivers on the list, though he obviously made the cut because of his reputation as an elite kick returner.
Browns running back Peyton Hillis did not make the top 100. Hillis, who was also denied a Pro Bowl bid despite his stellar 2010 season, finished 11th in the league in rushing yards (1,177) and tied for sixth in rushing touchdowns (11). He also had 61 catches for 477 yards and two touchdowns.
