Browns to begin training camp Friday, open it to public Sunday
With NFL players approving a new labor deal to end the lockout, teams will start training camps later this week.
The Browns will start training camp on Friday and open it to the public on Sunday, a team spokesman said. A time for Sunday's practice has yet to be set.
The Browns had originally scheduled their first full-squad practice of training camp to begin Saturday. However, seemingly everything is subject to change during these wacky times in the NFL.
Here is a summary of the latest timeline for this week reported by NFL Network: On Tuesday, teams can open their facilities for training, conditioning and classroom work; trades can begin; teams can start signing undrafted and drafted free agents; and teams can begin negotiating with any free agents. On Thursday, the waiver period will begin. On Friday, full free agency will begin.
