Browns WR Josh Cribbs charged with driving 103 mph in 60-mph zone, addresses incident via Twitter
Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs was given a speeding citation last week for driving 103 mph in a 60-mph zone, court records indicate.
Cribbs was driving a two-door 2010 Bentley northbound on Interstate 71 when he was pulled over at 8:45 p.m. Friday near Fulton Road in Cleveland, according to the records. He was charged with speeding and is scheduled to appear in Cleveland Municipal Court at 1:30 p.m. May 4.
“Yes I was pulled over for speeding, going too fast, luckily the police were on the job,” Cribbs wrote on Twitter today. “Wasn't going that fast the entire time obviously but wrong is wrong, gotta face the music just like anyone else.
“Much respect to the police officers who pulled me over! I will lead better on the road now as well as on & off the field!!!”
