Free-agent outside linebacker Quentin Groves has a visit scheduled with the Browns, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported.
Groves played for Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton last season when Horton had the same job with the Arizona Cardinals. Groves started seven of the 16 games in which he appeared this past season and compiled career highs in tackles (46) and sacks (four).
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Groves, 28, could certainly fill a need for the Browns and help them transition to Horton’s 3-4 multi-front scheme.
The Jacksonville Jaguars picked Groves in the second round (No. 52 overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Jaguars and two with the Oakland Raiders before joining the Cardinals in 2012.
