Highlights from press conference with Browns coach Eric Mangini

By Nate Ulrich Published: August 10, 2010

Browns coach met with reporters after his team practiced this morning. The Browns are scheduled to practice again today from 5:45-7:45 p.m. Here are some highlights from the press conference:

  • Mangini was not happy with way offense ended practice Monday afternoon. There were a block of plays that were horrendous, he said. Mangini said practice Tuesday was much better.

  • Mangini said he doesn't know the extent of cornerback Eric Wright's injury. Wright walked off the field Tuesday morning with an ice pack strapped to his right leg. Rookie cornerback Joe Haden will likely receive more playing time with the first-team defense while Wright is sidelined. "He's made some good progress, and he's worked a couple different spots," Mangini said of Hade.

  • Mangini said he expects offensive lineman Tony Pashos to miss a day here and there, but he doesn't think he should miss too much time. Mangini said he expects Pashos to return sometime this week.

  • When asked about rookie cornerback Joe Haden revealing a teammate's fine via Twitter, Mangini said, "I think our social media policy is a work in progress."
