Highlights from press conference with Browns coach Eric Mangini
Browns coach Eric Mangini met with reporters Tuesday morning. Here are some of the highlights from the press conference:
- Tight end Benjamin Watson will return to practice today, Mangini said. Offensive tackle John St. Clair, tight end Robert Royal and safety Nick Sorensen will still be sidelined, Mangini said.
- Royal injured his ankle, but he'll be OK, Mangini said. He needs more rest than anything else, Mangini said.
- Mangini said heat was a factor at Monday's practice. Several players walked off the field.
- Mangini said quarterbacks Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace won't play Thursday in the Browns' preseason game against the Chicago Bears.
- Mangini said quite a few roster decisions still need to be made. Thursday's game will be vital for several players.
