Highlights from press conference with Browns coach Eric Mangini
Browns coach Eric Mangini met with reporters Thursday morning. Here are some of the highlights from the press conference:
- Mangini said the team waived linebacker Titus Brown and re-signed offensive lineman Billy Yates.
- Offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao twisted his ankle during practice Wednesday and won't practice Thursday, Mangini said. Floyd Womack will probably start Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if Lauvao can't play. Yates will likely serve as a backup to Womack.
- Mangini said he anticipates defensive lineman Shaun Rogers being on the team's 45-man roster Sunday against the Buccaneers.
- Mangini said he'll decide at the end of the week who starts at offensive right tackle -- John St. Clair or Tony Pashos.
