Highlights from press conference with Browns coach Eric Mangini
Browns coach Eric Mangini met with reporters Thursday morning. Here are some of the highlights from the press conference:
- Mangini said he is moving strongly in the direction of starting rookie quarterback Colt McCoy on Sunday against the New England Patriots.
- Mangini said quarterbacks Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomme, offensive lineman John St. Clair and defensive end Kenyon Coleman won't practice today. Mangini said Wallace might return to practice Friday, but that's not guaranteed. Also, Coleman is still expected to play Sunday, Mangini said.
- Mangini expects defensive lineman Shaun Rogers to practice today after missing practice Wednesday. Linebacker Jason Trusnik is also expected to practice today after missing action Wednesday because his wife gave birth to the couple's first child, Mangini said.
