Browns coach Eric Mangini met with reporters Friday morning. Here are some of the highlights from the press conference:
Rookie Colt McCoy has been named the Browns' starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. Mangini said quarterback Seneca Wallace won't practice today and has "an outside chance" of being active Sunday, but not as the team's starting quarterback. Wallace might be the backup depending on how his high-ankle sprain comes along, Mangini said.
In addition to Wallace, Mangini said quarterback Jake Delhomme (ankle) and offensive lineman John St. Clair (ankle) will miss practice today.
Linebacker Matt Roth (hamstring) is fine even though he appeared on the team's injury report Thursday, Mangini said.
