Browns coach Eric Mangini met with reporters Friday morning. Here are some of the highlights from the press conference:
Mangini said wide receiver Josh Cribbs, defensive back Mike Adams and linebacker Scott Fujita will miss practice today. Cribbs has not yet been ruled out for Sunday, he said. About 10 percent of the offensive game plan revolves around Cribbs, Mangini said.
Mangini said offensive linemen Floyd Womack and Eric Steinbach and cornerbackl Sheldon Brown will return to practice today.
Mangini on rookie Colt McCoy's progression and potential to become the Browns' quarterback of the future: "At some point, he's gonna deal with adversity, a bad game, all those different components that guys go through as quarterbacks. You want to see how he responds, what happens. It's just kind of the progression of things. I'm excited about what he's done, and I'm pleased with what he's done. But there's no need to put that added pressure on him in terms of what's gonna happen years to come. Really what I want him to do is this week and keep growing, and the future will take care of itself."
