Highlights from press conference with Browns coach Eric Mangini
Browns coach Eric Mangini met with reporters Wednesday morning. Here are some of the highlights from the press conference:
- Mangini said quarterback Colt McCoy, tight end Evan Moore, linebacker Eric Barton, special-teams ace Titus Brown and linebacker Scott Fujita won't practice today. Mangini said he's optimistic all the aforementioned players except Fujita will get some work in this week.
- Mangini said he thinks McCoy has a chance to return to practice this week, but it's not a slam dunk.
- Tight end Benjamin Watson (offense), cornerback Joe Haden (defense) and defensive back Mike Adams (special teams) received game balls for their performances against the Miami Dolphins, Mangini said. Mangini said defensive lineman Travis Ivey was named the Browns' practice player of the week for his work leading up to the game against the Dolphins.
