Highlights from press conference with Browns coach Eric Mangini
Browns coach Eric Mangini met with reporters Wednesday morning. Here are some of the highlights from the press conference:
- Mangini said he wants to see how Colt McCoy's sprained left ankle holds up today during practice before naming a starting quarterback for the Browns' upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
- McCoy will get decent amount of reps with first-team offense today at practice, Mangini said.
- Mangini said Seneca Wallace could be the Browns' backup quarterback against the Bengals regardless of who starts. That would allow Wallace to be used in certain packages.
- Mangini said linebacker Scott Fujita (knee), linebacker David Bowens (head), defensive lineman Shaun Rogers (ankle, hip) and tight end Evan Moore (hip) will miss practice today.
