Hillis stands out during Thursday's OTA

By Nate Ulrich Published: May 27, 2010

Browns running back Peyton Hillis was one of the few skill-position players who wasn't plagued by several dropped passes during Thursday's organized team activities at the Browns' training facility in Berea.

In fact, Hillis made an exceptional one-handed grab and was rewarded a compliment from a teammate who yelled, "Nice hands."

The Browns acquired the 6-foot-2, 250-pound Hillis from the Denver Broncos this past March in a trade for quarterback Brady Quinn.

Don't know much about Hillis? No worries. Here's a brief breakdown:

  1. Last season, he played in 14 games with two starts. He rushed for a 2-yard touchdown against the Browns on Sept. 20.

  2. In his rookie season, he played in 12 games and started six before being placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

  3. This is his third year in the NFL. He was drafted by the Broncos in the seventh round (227th overall) of the 2008 NFL draft

  4. He was a four-year letterman at the University of Arkansas, where he compiled career totals of 2,624 yards and 23 touchdowns.
