Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel is ranked No. 1 on NFL Players Inc.'s list for officially licensed merchandise sold from March 1-May 31.
The Browns drafted Manziel 22nd overall on the night of May 8, so he shot to the top of the list in just 23 days. NFLPI announced the ranking today.
The NFLPI is the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFL Players Association. Its sales list includes Nike T-shirts and Fathead wall decals sold online and by traditional retail outlets. Licensed product categories also include jerseys, player murals, figurines, matted and framed photos, bobbleheads, drinkware, jewelry and electronic device accessories.
Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson finished as the runner-up to Manziel on the list. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning rounded out the top five.
Manziel also leads the NFL in jerseys sold on its official apparel website, NFLShop.com, from April 1-July 17, the league announced Monday.
