Senior football players at Clemson are allowed to have private rooms, but Davis said that lasted only one game before he asked to be reunited with Spiller.

Coaching has never left Browns president Mike Holmgren, but Holmgren has left coaching ... at least for now.

Danso becomes 'unlikeliest Cleveland Brown ever'

By Nate Ulrich Published: May 25, 2010

Les Carpenter of Yahoo! Sports wrote a poignant profile about Kwaku Danso, a 28-year-old rookie defensive tackle from Ghana whom the Browns signed as an undrafted free agent.

Danso's story is compelling, and he's certainly a long shot by NFL standards. After all, he learned how to play football only three years ago at East Carolina. And even then, he barely received any playing time in college.

Supreme Court: NFL not one entity

By Nate Ulrich Published: May 24, 2010

The Supreme Court made a ruling Monday that might spark labor extension negotiations between the NFL Players Association and owners to prevent a potential lockout in 2011. Here's the story from the Associated Press:

WASHINGTON | The Supreme Court says the National Football League can be considered as 32 separate teams "not one big business" when it comes to selling NFL-branded items like jerseys and caps.
The high court has unanimously reversed a lower court ruling throwing out an antitrust suit brought against the league by one of its former hat makers.
American Needle had sued the league after losing the contract to Reebok. The company said the NFL violated antitrust law because all 32 teams worked together to freeze it out of the NFL-licensed hatmaking business. The NFL said it did not violate antitrust law because the teams are all one business.
The lawsuit now goes back to district court. -- AP
