Browns coach Eric Mangini met with media members Thursday morning at the team's headquarters in Berea. Here's a quick breakdown of the Q&A session:
Mangini revealed RB Jerome Harrison, who's a restricted free agent, practiced earlier this week despite not signing his tender. He was not at the Browns' headquarters Thursday, but Mangini said his absence had nothing to do with his contract and he's expected to return next week. "He was here the start of this week," Mangini said. "He was here on the field. He hasn't signed his tender, but ... he's allowed to practice and participate. He had been the previous two days."
However, Mangini said there weren't any updates on the Browns' other RFAs -- LBs D'Qwell Jackson, Matt Roth, DB Abe Elam and FB Lawrence Vickers -- and they haven't shown up in Berea yet. "In terms of the restricted guys, there's really no update along those lines," Mangini said.
In his opening statement, Mangini praised those who have stood out this spring. "I thought so far Brian Robiskie has had an outstanding camp," he said. "He's showed up quite a bit, I think. The quarterbacks are doing a really nice job with what we're asking them to do. Ben Watson has been doing a really nice job with the things that we're asking him to do. And really there's a lot of guys that I've been happy with, especially when you consider that it is a new environment. It is a lot of new material. But it's been fun to watch the progression as we go."
