NFL Draft 2011: Browns trade sixth overall pick to Atlanta Falcons
The Browns traded the sixth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft to the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night.
In exchange, the Browns received the following picks from the Falcons: No. 27 (first round), No. 59 (second round) and No. 124 (fourth round) this year, plus the Falcons' first- and fourth-round picks in 2012.
The Falcons took Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones at No. 6. Meanwhile, the Browns are now preparing to pick 21 spots later.
The Carolina Panthers took Auburn quarterback Cam Newton with the No. 1 pick. Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller (Denver Broncos, No. 2), Alabama defensive tackle Marcell Dareus (Buffalo Bills, No. 3), Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green (Cincinnati Bengals, No. 4) and LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson (Arizona Cardinals, No. 5) were also off the board by the time the Browns were put on the clock.
