Poll: Do the Browns need an offensive coordinator?
Maybe the Browns won't hire an offensive coordinator after all.
The Browns reportedly had considered Mark Whipple an offensive coordinator candidate, but they hired him as a quarterbacks coach on Monday. With coach Pat Shurmur planning to call the offense's plays and Whipple filling another role, it's possible the Browns won't immediately replace Brian Daboll, who's now the Miami Dolphins' offensive coordinator.
The Browns wouldn't be the first team to go without an offensive coordinator. This past season, the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals did not name one.
