Poll: Do you have faith in Holmgren, Heckert?
This is a must-read story for all Browns fans. Jon Saraceno of USA Today examined the task president Mike Holmgren and General Manager Tom Heckert face in reviving the Browns. He also broke down each position on the team and ended his analysis with the following outlook:
"Since returning to the NFL in 1999, this franchise has mostly stumbled about with poor decisions made at the top regarding players and coaches. But the hiring of Holmgren and Heckert is a strong indication ownership is serious about restoring pride and tradition. Strides were made in the offseason, but Holmgren tempers 2010 expectations: "You can't fix everything in one year."
Sure, there might be reason for optimism with Holmgren and Heckert in place, but other front-office regimes of the past have also given Browns fans hope, only to fall short of expectations. Will Holmgren and Heckert be different? You tell me.
