Poll: Should Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme start over Seneca Wallace?
Browns coach Eric Mangini has officially named Jake Delhomme Cleveland's starting quarterback for its Week 13 showdown with the Miami Dolphins. Delhomme will make his second consecutive start while rookie quarterback Colt McCoy is sidelined with a high-ankle sprain. Meanwhile, Seneca Wallace will serve as Delhomme's backup.
In the Browns' 24-23 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week 12, Delhomme completed all five of his passes during the team's final drive to help set up Phil Dawson's game-winning field goal. But early in the second half, Delhomme also threw two interceptions, including one that was returned for a touchdown.
Wallace played well for the most part after Delhomme was sidelined with a high-ankle sprain in the season opener. But Wallace has not played since Oct. 10 against the Atlanta Falcons because he, too, suffered a high-ankle sprain.
