Practice notes: Browns LB Kaluka Maiava leaves with injury
The Browns (3-3) practiced today in preparation for their road game Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers (5-1). Reporters were allowed to watch about 30 minutes of practice. Here's what you need to know about the open session:
- Linebacker Kaluka Maiava left practice after a trainer examined his knee.
- Right guard Shawn Lauvao (knee) returned to action after sitting out Wednesday. He practiced with the first-team offense during team drills.
- Running back Peyton Hillis (hamstring), tight end Benjamin Watson (concussion), wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi (concussion) and safety Ray Ventrone (hammy) didn't practice as planned. Hillis, Watson and Ventrone watched part of practice.
