Practice notes: Offensive linemen Oniel Cousins, Artis Hicks rotate at right tackle
The Browns practiced this afternoon in preparation for their regular-season opener Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Reporters were allowed to watch about a half-hour of practice. Here is what you need to know about the open period:
- Rookie Jason Pinkston continued to work at left guard. Oniel Cousins and Artis Hicks rotated at right tackle. Meanwhile, Tony Pashos, who has a walking boot on his left leg, continued to sit out. He was not seen on the practice field.
- Linebacker Chris Gocong (pinched nerve in neck) and tight end Benjamin Watson (hip) returned to practice. Gocong had been sidelined since Aug. 8, and Watson had been out since Aug. 28.
- Defensive tackle Brian Schaefering returned to practice today after missing practice Monday for personal reasons.
- Rookie strong safety Eric Hagg, who had surgery on his left knee on Aug. 15, appeared on the field and worked out on exercise bike.
