The Browns practiced this afternoon in preparation for their regular-season opener Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Reporters were allowed to watch about a half-hour of practice. Here is what you need to know about the open period:
Offensive lineman Tony Pashos (foot) returned to practice today. He worked at his usual spot, right tackle. Pashos wore a walking boot on his left leg and was sidelined during practices on Monday and Wednesday. Coach Pat Shurmur said Pashos will start against the Bengals if he's healthy enough.
Meanwhile, rookie Jason Pinkston continued to take reps at left guard. He's hasn't officially been named the starter for Sunday, but Shurmur said Pinkston is in line to earn the job.
Rookie strong safety Eric Hagg (left knee surgery) worked out on an exercise bike during practice for the second day in a row.
Tight end Benjamin Watson (hip) and linebacker Chris Gocong (pinched nerve in neck) practiced again after returning to action Wednesday.
