Practice notes: QB Colt McCoy, WR Jordan Norwood, CB Joe Haden among those sitting out; FB Owen Marecic returns
The Browns (4-10) practiced today in preparation for their road game Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens (10-4). Reporters were allowed to watch about the first 30 minutes of practice. Here's what you need to know about the open session:
- Quarterback Colt McCoy (concussion), wide receiver Jordan Norwood (concussion), linebacker Benjamin Jacobs (concussion) and strong safety T.J. Ward (foot) did not practice.
- Cornerback Joe Haden (bruised thigh) warmed up with the team, but he didn't join practice during the open portion.
- Rookie fullback Owen Marecic practiced for the first time since he suffered a concussion Dec. 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. McCoy, of course, suffered his concussion in the same game.
- Wide receiver Josh Cribbs (groin), running back Montario Hardesty (calf), offensive linemen Artis Hicks (shoulder), Shawn Lauvao (ankle) and Tony Pashos (ankle), defensive lineman Brian Schaefering (ankle), linebacker Quinton Spears (hamstring) and rookie defensive end Jabaal Sheard (forearm) practiced.
