The Browns (4-7) practiced today in preparation for their road game Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens (8-3). Reporters were allowed to watch about 30 minutes of practice. Here's what you need to know about the open session:
Running back Montario Hardesty participated in team drills today. He missed practice Wednesday and returned to action Thursday, when he went through individual drills but not team drills. Hardesty, who's pictured to the left, appears to be on the verge of playing for the first time since he tore a calf muscle in his right leg Oct. 30 against the San Francisco 49ers. He was expected to play this past Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he sat out because his calf bothered him during pregame warm-ups.
Hardesty, free safety Mike Adams (shoulder), linebacker Kaluka Maiava (knee), defensive end Jayme Mitchell (ankle), offensive lineman Tony Pashos (ankle) and cornerback Dimitri Patterson (ankle) practiced. All of them were limited Thursday.
Strong safety T.J. Ward (foot) and linebacker Quinton Spears (hamstring) did not practice today.
