Practice notes: Several Browns players back in action despite minor injuries
The Browns practiced this afternoon in preparation for their home game Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Reporters were allowed to watch about the first 30 minutes of practice. Here is what you need to know about the open period:
- As expected, running back Peyton Hillis returned to practice today. Hillis missed practice this past Friday and was inactive Sunday against the Miami Dolphins because he had strep throat.
- Wide receivers Josh Cribbs (groin) and Mohamed Massaquoi (foot), offensive linemen Joe Thomas (knee) and Tony Pashos (ankle), rookie defensive tackle Phil Taylor (knee), cornerback Sheldon Brown (groin), linebacker Chris Gocong (groin) and rookie strong safety Eric Hagg (knee) also practiced today.
- Backup middle linebacker Titus Brown practiced today for the first time since he suffered a high-ankle sprain Aug. 25 in a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
