Practice notes: TE Benjamin Watson and LB Chris Gocong remain out
The Browns practiced this morning in preparation for their Sept. 11 regular-season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. Reporters were only allowed to watch the first 15 minutes of practice. Here is what you need to know about the open period:
- Still sidelined: Tight end Benjamin Watson (hip) and linebacker Chris Gocong (pinched nerve) sat out. They were on the field watching.
- Back in action: Wide receiver Carlton Mitchell (surgically repaired finger) and offensive right tackle Tony Pashos (unspecified) participated after missing time earlier this week.
- Missing: Linebacker Titus Brown (high-ankle sprain), running back Brandon Jackson (in cast with a toe injury), strong safety Eric Hagg (surgically repaired left knee) and linebacker Archie Donald (unspecified) were not on the field.
