Practice notes: WR Josh Cribbs returns; SS T.J. Ward sits out

By Nate Ulrich Published: December 15, 2011

The Browns (4-9) practiced today in preparation for their road game Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals (6-7). Reporters were allowed to watch about the first 30 minutes of practice. Here's what you need to know about the open session:

  • Wide receiver Josh Cribbs (groin) returned to practice today and worked in individual drills. He missed practice Wednesday.

  • Strong safety T.J. Ward (foot), quarterback Colt McCoy (concussion), tight end Benjamin Watson (concussion) and fullback Owen Marecic (concussion) did not practice today. Ward practiced Wednesday for the first time since he sprained his right foot Nov. 6 against the Houston Texans. However, he sat out today. McCoy, Watson and Marecic haven't practiced all week.

  • Offensive linemen Shawn Lauvao (ankle) and Tony Pashos (ankle) and linebacker Quinton Spears (hamstring) practiced today. All of them were limited in practice Wednesday.

  • Running back Montario Hardesty (calf) and defensive end Jabaal Sheard (forearm) continued to practice today. They were listed as full participants in practice Wednesday.
